Fall Semester

Fall Semester 2010
Students who enroll in Christ College for the first time are required to take the Core Course offered their first semester.

Core Course:

Chronological Overview of the Bible

August 22-November 17
Sundays, 5-7 p.m. and Wednesdays, 6:10-7:45 p.m.

Everyone has a defining narrative for his or her life. The Christian faith believes that the defining narrative is the biblical story and the new life we have in Christ. The goal is for every participant to know the central stories of our Christian faith, see how they reveal the Gospel and finally understand how they shape our worldview.

Each class features lecture and discussion. Careful attention will be given to:

  • How does each story fit into the overarching story of redemption?
  • How does each story reveal the human condition?
  • How does each story demonstrate God's initiative to redeem His people?
  • How is Christ revealed in the Old Testament?
  • How do these stories shape how we believe and live daily?
