Christ Church is partnered with many ministries throughout the city, and we are especially active in the Binghampton community. We actively work to connect our members in meaningful ways, using their gifts and passions to join the work of some of partners listed below. Service Over Self, an urban home repair ministry, works primarily in the Binghampton neighborhood (38112), hosting students, adults, and families at their urban camps throughout the year. Christ Church "adopts" one week during the summer to serve the campers, staff, and homeowners in a variety ways, including serving meals, doing laundry, and praying for them. The Binghampton Development Corporation's mission is work to build a healthy Binghampton community by facilitating the revitalization primarily through housing and economic development. Eikon Ministries and their staff live and work in the Binghampton community, building relationships with families, being present in the neighborhood schools, and building urban leaders from the inside out. The Refugee Empowerment Program exists to address the unique needs of the refugee population in Memphis. They desire to empower families through education, advocate for their needs, and in many other ways, help them become healthy members of our community. Beginning in the Fall of 2010 with one Kindergarten class, Cornerstone Preparatory School will reach out to children and their families in Binghampton and beyond!
